Islam is to be afforded special protected status in the UK – as planned by Theresa May.
Every police force in England and Wales will be required to record anti-Muslim hate crimes and treat them as seriously as anti-Semitic attacks if the Tories win the next General Election, Theresa May has announced.
In a move hailed by Islamic groups (sic) Mrs May said that police will have to record Islamophobic attacks as a separate category, just as anti-Semitic crimes are recorded separately. At present some forces, including London’s Metropolitan Police, do record Islamophobic crimes as such. Other forces categorise them as hate crimes or specific offences such as assault or grievous bodily harm.
So at a time when Policing is already stretched to the limit coping with ACTUAL crime, the PM now wants them to record ‘anti-Muslim hate crime” and thus waste finite resource on irrelevance. I can understand “Islamic Groups” celebrating this decision by May but it should worry the rest of us enormously. Why is the UK’s dominant religion – Christianity – not afforded any such protection? How is that Islam is able to force the Government to move to give it this sort of special status? What about other minority religions such as Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism etc? This is a clear exceptionality being afforded to Islam.
May then seeks to create a false equivalency between “Anti-Semitism” and “Anti-Muslim” hate crime. This conveniently ignores the fact that Britain’s growing Muslim population is a seething bed of…anti-Semitism. The cognitive dissonance is strong in this one. In essence the Government is pandering to an anti-Semitic demographic whilst simultaneously suggesting it is a victim group.
We are approaching the point where any criticism of Islam in the UK will be recorded as a hate crime and those who dare speak out against Islam turned into criminals. The British Caliphate draws nearer, and Theresa May facilitates it. Let that sink in.
